Pediatric Physical Therapy

Our pediatric physical therapy staff works with your child and family to improve the range of motion, strength. flexibility, and movement patterns, while performing activities that look like play. Our goal is to help make everyday activities easier for kids. Our innovative playground gym has an array of activities to further develop your child’s physical abilities. In our safe and enjoyable environment, children can feel comfortable and excited to learn.

We use exercise and play to strengthen muscles, boost coordination, and improve your child’s overall mobility so that they can perform everyday skills. Gross motor skills provide the foundation for not only ball sports and leisure activities found in childhood but also for more refined motor skills such as sitting at a table to eat or perform fine motor activities and standing with balance to get dressed. With age-appropriate equipment and play-based techniques, we inspire creativity and make movement natural and fun while also developing these foundational motor skills.

We are here to support you and we want your child to feel capable and strong. Our pediatric physical therapists celebrate with you over each physical milestone your child makes, however large or small. Some of the areas treated include:

  • Developmental activities
  • Movement and mobility
  • Strengthening
  • Motor learning
  • Balance and coordination
  • Recreation, play, and leisure
  • Endurance
  • Daily care activities and routines
  • Equipment design, fabrication, and fitting

Our physical therapy philosophy is to take a collaborative approach, working with the family and the child to tailor the therapeutic approach toward their specific needs, creating activities that address many different aspects of the child’s development, and teaching families the tools they require to support their child’s physical needs at home and in the community including:

  • Positioning during daily routines and activities
  • Adapting toys for play
  • Expanding mobility options
  • Using equipment effectively
  • Facilitating safety for the home and community
